It is not my favorite shoe for every distance. It is the shoe here whose design makes the clearest sense at marathon effort.
My pair has 95 logged miles. The useful sensation is not a violent toe-off. It is a two-stage load through the forefoot, followed by a long roll that reduces how much I have to manufacture each stride late in a sustained effort. At easy pace the same geometry feels tall and disconnected.
